Boon Lay grew up as a transport and industrial hub at the western end of the East-West Line, home to Boon Lay Bus Interchange and within reach of Nanyang Technological University, rather than as a town centred on its own full set of recreational facilities. That’s part of why the nearest ActiveSG pool sits one MRT stop away in either direction instead of within the town itself.

Getting to Jurong West Swimming Complex from Boon Lay

Jurong West Swimming Complex at 20 Jurong West Street 93 is a short walk from Pioneer MRT, which is one stop from Boon Lay on the East-West Line. It’s a Feature Pool open daily except Tuesdays from 8am to 9:30pm, with early competition-pool lap swimming on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30am to 8am.

ActiveSG’s own listing confirms these hours, along with adult admission of $1.50 on weekdays and $2.00 on weekends as a Feature Pool venue.

Jurong Lake Gardens Pool as Another Option

Boon Lay also sits one stop from Lakeside MRT, and Jurong Lake Gardens Pool is roughly a 15-minute walk from that station, set inside the gardens itself. It’s a Normal Pool with competition, teaching and wading pools, open daily except Thursdays, and a genuinely different setting for a lesson if the garden precinct appeals more than a standard sports complex.
