Jurong West is home to one of the largest ActiveSG swimming complexes in Singapore, and that scale is the real reason it’s worth a dedicated page rather than folding it into a generic “West Singapore” write-up. If you’re looking for swimming lessons in Jurong West, the venue itself does most of the work: a genuine Feature Pool with a lazy river and water slides on top of its standard lap pool.

HydroSplash runs private swimming lessons at Jurong West Swimming Complex, 20 Jurong West Street 93, a short walk from Pioneer MRT. It’s a Feature Pool with admission at $1.50 on weekdays and $2.00 on weekends. We also teach students travelling in from Boon Lay, Jurong East and Lakeside, and offer private condo lessons for residents who’d rather not make the trip to a public pool at all.

Getting to Jurong West Swimming Complex

Jurong West Swimming Complex sits inside Jurong West Sport Centre at 20 Jurong West Street 93, a short walk from Pioneer MRT on the East-West Line. It’s open daily except Tuesdays from 8am to 9:30pm, with early competition-pool lap swimming on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30am to 8am.

Buses along Jurong West Street 93 and the surrounding estate also serve the complex directly, so a car isn’t necessary to get to a lesson.

What's Actually at the Complex

Per ActiveSG’s own listing, the complex is classified as a Feature Pool: a sheltered competition pool, a training pool, depth-graded children’s pools, a lazy river and water slides. Adult admission is $1.50 on weekdays and $2.00 on weekends, the standard Feature Pool rate.

Confirmed accessibility features include a level-2 lift, an accessible toilet and a training-pool ramp, so the venue works for students who need step-free access as well as those who don’t.

Serving Jurong West and the Surrounding Area

Most of our Jurong West students live in the estate itself, but we also regularly teach residents commuting in from Boon Lay, which has no ActiveSG pool of its own and sits one stop away via Pioneer MRT. Students based nearer Jurong East Swimming Complex or Lakeside sometimes choose Jurong West instead specifically for its lazy river and slides, which the Jurong East venue’s own competition pool doesn’t offer while its upgrading works are ongoing.

How do adults swim for beginners is a common starting question for students who haven’t been in a pool in years, and it applies just as much at a Feature Pool like this one as anywhere else: our coaches start in the shallower teaching areas regardless of what recreational features the rest of the complex has.
