Jurong East Swimming Complex is part of the integrated Jurong East Sport Centre at 21 Jurong East Street 31, Singapore 609517, right in one of the busiest transport hubs in the west. It’s classified as a Feature Pool rather than a Normal Pool, which means it carries the slides, lazy river and wave pool that a plain lap-and-teaching setup doesn’t have, alongside the competition pool our coaches actually use for lessons.

Jurong East Swimming Complex at 21 Jurong East Street 31 is a Feature Pool open daily except Mondays from 8am to 9:30pm, with a competition pool, wave pool, lazy river and kiddy pool. Adult entry is $1.50 on weekdays and $2.00 on weekends. The competition pool is closed for upgrading works until 31 December 2026, verified against ActiveSG’s own listing.

Location & Access to Jurong East Swimming Complex

Sitting inside Jurong East Sport Centre, the complex is genuinely closer to Chinese Garden MRT (EW25) than to Jurong East MRT itself, despite the name: plan for around a 15 to 20 minute walk from Chinese Garden, or take bus 98, 99, 157, 185, 187, 198 or 333, which all stop close to the complex.

On-site parking is available for anyone driving over, and because the complex shares grounds with a gym, sports hall and stadium, families sometimes turn a lesson here into a longer outing.

Operating Hours & Current Closures

Regular hours are 8am to 9:30pm every day except Monday, when the complex is closed unless that Monday happens to be a public holiday. The competition pool alone opens earlier, from 6:30am to 8am, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Right now there’s an extended closure worth knowing before you book: ActiveSG’s listing confirms the competition pool has been closed for upgrading works since 5 April 2025, running through to 31 December 2026. The wave pool, lazy river and kiddy pool aren’t part of this closure, but anyone specifically wanting lap swimming or the early-morning slot should check availability first.

Pools & Facilities Overview

As a Feature Pool, Jurong East carries more than the standard three-pool setup: a competition pool for lap swimming and structured lessons, a wave pool and lazy river for recreational time, and a kiddy pool for the youngest swimmers. That mix works well for a family that wants a lesson and some genuine play time in the same visit, and it’s part of why some of our beginner students find this venue less intimidating than a bare lap pool.

Entry to the feature sections needs a feature-pool pass rather than the standard pass, which the front desk or the MyActiveSG+ app can sort out before your first visit.

Entry Fees at Jurong East Swimming Complex

Because Jurong East is classified as a Special Features complex rather than a Normal Pool, admission sits at the higher of ActiveSG’s two pricing tiers: $1.50 for adults on weekdays and $2.00 on weekends and public holidays, with children and seniors at $0.80 and $1.00.

Non-citizens pay $2.00 on weekdays and $2.60 on weekends. These figures are confirmed on ActiveSG’s individual rates page directly, since Feature Pool pricing runs noticeably above what a Normal Pool venue like Bukit Batok or Yishun charges, and it’s easy to assume the lower rate if you’re used to those venues.

Why We Use Jurong East Swimming Complex for Lessons

We like this venue for students who need a competition-length pool without losing the option to ease a nervous beginner in somewhere calmer first. That said, the current competition pool closure through the end of 2026 is a real constraint: if lane access is central to what you’re training for, we’d point you toward another venue until it reopens, rather than promise availability we can’t guarantee.

Once the pool is back, the early Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday slot is worth building a routine around if you’re an adult trying to fit a session in before work.
